since this event has a theme, i thought the creative freedom would be capped, but the choices are actually very giving. you could follow the au theme inside of another au pretty easily, so there's actually a lot more options than i had thought. that being said, i am giving you a limiter: no mythical creature au please. it just doesn't do it for me. it's like fics that focus around flower language -i just hold no interest for it. sorryabout that.

i don't like mafia/organized crime settings, they tend to be too gritty for me; nsfw -im sex-repulsed, if that speaks for itself; parental or spousal abuse; gaslighting, or any heavily-depicted emotional abuse; i found out last november that if i read about someone going into a panic attack, i go into an anxiety attack, and that's not fun, so please keep those out; i don't really want any angst this go-around? the world is kinda bad enough rn as is, right? a little is fine, if you need it, jus not too much; i really hate miscommunication (which is sadly prevalent in my favored aus... pity) so please try and keep that out. i don't want to be thinking 'talk-just TALK to each other!' while reading, it gets very frustrating.

Some tropes I really like: fake relationships, the reluctant protagonist (ex. if i have to do the thing, looks like im the only one around guess its up to me), the stoic/happy-go-lucky pair, partners in crime, soulmates


daiya no ace

i don't dislike anyone from daiya, and i don't think i could if i tried. i do, however, think shirakawa's char design makes him look like a villain. i dont know what terajima was thinking. 

favorites in no order: mei, miyuki, ryousuke, seto, kosei, mima, toujou

ships again in no order: misawa, itsumei, kuraryou, kurawaka (is kurawaka a rarepair?? dunno, but. definitely that one. that's a favorite right there)

haikyuu

i watched season 4 but ive also been sorta keeping up w the manga since season 3 ended, so i know about general events. please, no need to worry about spoiling me, i've already seen it. if you want to base any future off of manga canon, i'm positive i've seen most of it already so go for it.

my favorite char is kenma. my second-fav is yukie. the rest fall into line, in no order: akaashi, semi, oikawa, yachi

ships: yamayachi is by far my favorite, i dont know how, it jus happened. really close second is and will always be bokuaka. i also like tensemi, iwaoi (clenches fist iwaoi) akasemi, and kuroaka. i still like kuroken but i like to see them more platonic often than not. you can throw any background ship you want into whatever, i won't mind. if i have to look up a character's name i might kill you. 

my favorite team is fukurodani. i got.. too invested in s2 of the anime. i started a fukuro-centric fic after s2 ended, realized i was kinda lost bc i didnt know all their names, pulled up a list on google and memorized names and faces in like ten minutes. i still remember them all to this day. that was four years ago. why cant i memorize stuff for school this easily??

anyway. im gonna copy from another dc bc it all stands true, but heres one thing i dont want really quick - please don't have the work star anyone from inarizaki, kamomedai, itachiyama, or any team introduced past s4 of the anime. i said i was pretty aware of spoilers, but i haven't read haikyuu, so seeing as everything is second-hand knowledge, i don't have any sort of attachment to these characters.

ill be honest if you pick naruto please do something team minato. i ship any variation of obi/kaka/rin, so there's that. something where all three of them are alive for the majority. can include minato, kushina, gai, others. anko. you can include -i really like anko. 

heres a prompt, too. heres a couple: older team minato day-in-the-life while main cast is academy-age. hokage obito and team minato pre-induction ceremony. obi/rin conversing about beginning of team 7. 

also if you want to do a modern au i love blackkat's giant au where the uchiha are basically an entire police headquarters, and everyone falls into place from there. (except obito, because having one eye and zero depth perception means you cant exactly cut it as a cop. kakashi, on the other hand-)

one more prompt and then im done. team dinner at minato and kushina's. obito shows up late and all eight of kakashi's dogs are already terrorizing the apartment.

Hello! Firstly, thank you for taking the time to create a gift for me!! I really appreciate your time and effort. I promise whatever you do, I'll absolutely adore it. The list below are guidelines for what i enjoy, but it's not complete by any means. If you want more sense of what i'm all about, my tumblr is @cheswirl. 

Here's a little general background on me n sports

I'm in uni partially for a bachelors in graphic design, and partially for an athletic training license. When i'm done with undergrad, I'll go directly into a graduate program for my masters in athletic training. basically, it's sports medicine. so like, injury prevention, pain monitoring, what the term implies. I tend to get super technical w treatment of injuries whenever I watch a sports anime, and it aggravates me to no end when the athletes are depicted hiding their injuries (read: daiya). 

In the future I want to work with the USA Olympic Diving team. Diving is by far my favorite sport. My favorite of the nominated is volleyball. I'm currently working with a softball team. 

I actually don't play any sports. I'm not athletic at all, hah. I've been doing athletic training since high school. I haven't played a sport since soccer, and I stopped in early elementary? But! I do love them, so much of my life involves sports right now. 

And about me in general

I live for AUs, especially in a magical/witch or superhero setting. I'm not super into the more gritty AUs, like mafia/organized crime settings, for example. Star wars and Pokemon are always good picks too!!

I'm definitely not a nsfw person. I'm actually pretty sex-repulsed, so try and avoid this. Any mentions of encounters in passing that aren't detailed should be fine.

Daiya no Ace

Mannnnnn I have such a love/hate relationship with this series. For example, I hate how it depicts athletes constantly hiding their injuries bc they think immediately if they're injured a little bit = they have to sit out, which usually isn't the case at all. It's definitely not a cultural thing either, I've read up on case studies abt Japanese high school sports to confirm this. It's just Terajima ... depicting it wrong!!

But I do like that we get characters that read up on treatment stuff and offer to help, since I've never seen that in any other sports anime before. But yeah uh. Hnnnnn. I wanna take these boys aside and jus tell them treating the injury means it gets better faster!!

Anyway rant over. I love Daiya and I love baseball. I don't think I'll ever be comfortable working w a baseball team bc the nature of the players always seems to be extreeeeeme extroverts, and I am very introverted. Like. Think a whole team of Sawamuras. Yikes right. 

But that's why it's so fun to experience teams through anime! I don't dislike a single baseball player in Daiya. Not one. My favorites are Mei, Miyuki, Ryou, and Seto. I definitely prefer the snarky characters, aha. I also like all the girls!!! I love. Girls.

My pairings are Misawa, somewhat Itsumei, Kuraryou, and Kurawaka! I have a soft spot for kurawaka, definitely.

I don't have any preferences, so you're more than welcome to grab off the general section. These are specific suggestions to the sport.

I'd love to see a team rivalry competition that involves things besides baseball. Whether it's still athletic, like weight lifting, or comedic, like who can build a human pyramid the fastest, or more absurd, like a scavenger hunt. 

I absolutely live for humor. If you make me laugh I will love you forever. I can't really write humor (if I do it comes out dry af) so I appreciate when someone can. 

Any pairing fic, I love fluff! I write angst all the time, so I gotta be in a certain mood if I'm gonna read it. If it's platonic, give me prank pulling on upperclassmen/lowerclassmen/dormmates!!


Haikyuu

Hq is the fandom I always come back to no matter how long it's been since I've had interaction w canon material. I live for the characters and the humor. I also love volleyball. I love it. 

My favorite characters are Kenma, Akaashi, Yukie, Oikawa, Yachi, and Semi. Theres a theme here huuh. I identify really strongly w kenma, so if you wanna do anything introspective w him, that's completely fine w me. The character trope here is definitely the character that works hard despite the results falling short. Yukie is by far my favorite!! (Did I mention I like girls yet///)

I like kuroken as either romantic or platonic! i also looooove yamayachi as either as well, i jus love their dynamic in general! others include tensemi, iwaoi, bokuaka, kuroaka.

My favorite team is fukurodani! write about literally any of them or all of them and you're set !

Again, these sport-specific suggestions are just suggestions. Definitely don't have to go off of them.

I am a firm believer that the final national match will be between fukuro and karasuno ! Do with that what you will.

I have such a soft spot for iwaoi's dynamic. The childhood friends trope is so goooooood so playing off of that would be amazing. Either platonic or romantic, and any pair of characters, no matter if the trope is canon or not. (kuroken is another one but iwaoi's dynamic still outranks them)

Olympic AUs!!!! I live for these. Throw ocs in there. Make an all-star team of hq chars. Write them as spectators critiquing olympic volleyball players from the stands or tv at home. Making it to the olympics goals. Anything like that. 

ALSO third year karasuno first years is good. Give me co-captains kageyama and yamaguchi. Give me head manager yachi. Give me hinata still as the shortest club member despite being one of the oldest. Give me all the feels.

Kuroko No Basket

My favorite sports anime of all time. I watched it back in high school back when i thought i hated basketball. I still don't enjoy it to the extreme, but I like it more now than I used to. I watch this anime once a year, the full three seasons + specials. it's very dear to my heart.

I relate a lot to Furihata, but my all-time favorite character is Aomine. I also generally like any character that makes me/the audience laugh. SO, takao, kuroko, midorima, etc. 

I know i mentioned before abt angst, but I really like stories that depict the mental state of knb characters. So if you can pull off a really good fic abt Aomine being clinically depressed? Go for it, I'll eat that shit up. Akashi having MPD? Sure sure. Midorima w OCD? Yea yea.

Aokuro holds a very special place in my heart. I love their potential romantic dynamic. I also love their canonical platonic development, even if it hurts a lot! It's worth it in the end. Kisekuro is also very cute, tho I tend to lean more on the platonic side. Akafuri is also very good. I really, really like Midoaka, tho.

This is where any sort of Star Wars AU would be amazing. Anything w GoM bonding is also good. (+ Momoi. Or, if you include Momoi. Sometimes i count her as a GoM.)

The fake dating AUs for either comedic purposes or to get-out-of-a-situation purposes are good w these characters. Especially if you wanted to play it as two friends doing the other a solid? Yes. It definitely doesn't have to end up romantic to be good.
